M and I have really gotten into board games in the last year or so. It is really hard to find games that are fun for two to play -here are some of our favorites:
Ticket to Ride: This is a cross-country train adventure game with a property-collecting focus. This is fairly straightforward game that is easy to learn and fast to play. My little sister gets really competitive at this one! Spring for the 1910 Expansion Pack so you can play with playing card size cards (there’s also more potential game play but those big cards are NICE!)
Forbidden Desert: This is a cooperative play game with a modular board – and is a blast. You and your team have crash landed in a desert and must work together before the desert kills you and you lose the game. I love that it’s really re-playable and encourages us to work together.
Rivals for Catan: Rivals for Catan is the two player version of Settlers of Catan. This is one of the most complicated games I’ve ever played and we’re only on the first theme pack so far. I’ve really been enjoying this because it forces us to pay attention to the game.
