Family Pizza Night

Since M and I have moved back to Columbus, we very quickly established a habit of having family pizza nights with my parents and sister each Tuesday. It feels very indulgent to get together and pile on the toppings on our own personal pizzas.

To try your own, we just use Flat Outs (but M and I have done this on our own with naan) and a rotating crop of toppings, like pepperoni, chicken, mozzarella, cheddar, banana peppers, bell peppers, mushrooms, kale, pineapple, and whatever sauces we want. My mom cooks them at 375 for about 10 minute and then we dive right in!

Do you and your family have an regular dinner rituals? I’d love to hear!

  1. I love this ritual! My family would order pizza every Friday night, and it was wonderful. I’ve often thought that when we have kids, we should have a make-your-own pizza night every week. We only do it ourselves sometimes, but it’s always fun when we do.

  2. Naan pizza?? Yummm!

Ry loves making a big deal out of nothing, so we have a long list of XYZ Nights; pizza night (or breakfast, yum!), kid night (spaghettio’s, etc.), blanket fort night (only camping foods allowed,) taco night, fatty night (all of my favorite terrible foods like mozzarella sticks, pot stickers, mac & cheese, ice cream, etc.) 🙂

    1. Umm I need to start a fattie night! Only deep fried foods allowed! Yummy idea ry! As for the naan, I recommend honey and that super salty Mexican cheese like feta…
