Things have been really hectic lately. We planned the most bananas move, one where I went 6 (now 7…) weeks earlier than M and he stayed behind and worked. But when you make plans, God laughs, right? Unexpectedly, I was in London for two weeks and now I’m back in Chicago for another week-which thrills me! Mariano’s, Lou Malnati’s and my friends! I can’t wait!
But it’s made it really hard to settle into an even temporary routine and cook. After weeks of eating out (whine, whine, whine) I’m craving some plain roasted veggies and mountains of kale.
I’ve found myself spending more and more of my free time online, engaging on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, you name it. I read somewhere (I’m terrible at saving links) that its so much easier to limit your social media to just two forms and really focus on them. Just thinking about that gives me the cold sweats. My internal dialogue was all “but, but, I need LinkedIn for work and Facebook for the blog…” Which, I think means I have to give it a try, right?
I’m going to ditch LinkedIn, GoodReads, and Twitter for the next week. I’ll be sticking to just Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest (and of course, The Comyn Space!). We’ll see how it goes…
