2011 In Review

I took a trip to Door County with some girlfriends. And another one to Milwaukee where I fell in love with Lakefront Brewery.

We ate some really good food, including this pork loin and these tacos.

We joined a CSA through Big Head Farm and got literally the best produce I have ever eaten.

We moved to a new apartment and worked hard to make it feel like home. Then we went a got hitched. I am really so lucky to have M (and his fried eggs sandwiches) in my life. He gets me through the rough days and makes the bright ones sweeter.

We went on a sweet vacation to the Bahamas for our honeymoon.

This was the best dessert of the year, hands down. Peach pie.

I read some great books, including Monkey Hunting and The Lady Matador’s Hotel by Cristina Garcia, Ahab’s Wife by Sena Jeter Naslund and Last Days of Dogtown by Anita Diamant. My favorite movies this year include Red State, Hugo (review coming soon!), Beer Wars and The Muppets!

When we needed a break from the city, we took one. Thank goodness.

We got to take in our first MLS soccer game and developed a good family rivalry. (GO CREW!)

Here is to a 2012 that is filled with more adventures, even better blogging, more yummy food, professional and financial growth and achievement and pure joy.

All my best,
Sarah
