It’s Pumpkin Pie!

first, you get your CSA pie pumpkin.
cut in half, use a serrated knife 
scoop out goop & seeds (if you add water, the seeds float and you get them out easier!)
*not pictured: steam pumpkin w/skin on until it is soft and cooked through* 

scoop out goop & blend/beat, add eggs & spices
make pie crust
bake. 
slice and eat.

For pie filling; (based on this one here)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup honey
1.5 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg, ground ginger, allspice, vanilla
1 pinch of salt
4 eggs
nearly 2 cans evaporated milk
3 heaping cups of the pumpkin puree

For pie crust; (based on the one from the Joy of Cooking)
2 cups white flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup Crisco
1/3 cup ice water
