Reel-y Good: Sins of My Father

Tomorrow I am also going to see another film during the Chicago Latino Film Festival but I couldn’t put off writing about the one film, from Argentina, I’ve been able to catch so far.

Let me just say, that the director (Nicolas Entel) is yummy. Ok, moving on.

“Sins of my Father” is a documentary about the son of Pablo Escobar and his struggles to come to terms with his father’s legacy. His is a message of peace and reconciliation. I loved the heartfelt way he described his love for his father and the terror he felt during La Violencia (and continues to feel). But it wasn’t just about him and his loss.

I hope it wins.
